Dear Coley,
I just wanted to thank you so much for attending my birth. I can't tell you how much your support meant. One of my most vivid memories will always be you smiling at me. It was so encouraging and gave me so much confidence. Your belief in me never failed- and it is what made me get through it! You are truly such an inspiration. I really enjoyed meeting you and am so glad my sisters were able to see the passion with which you approached my birth. My youngest sister said to me afterwards, "That's how I'm going to have my babies." Enjoy the holidays and good luck with your wedding- it wounds so cool. I'll never forget your support.

Dear Coley,
You have such a calming, peaceful feeling about you. I just want to hug you all the time. Thank you for believing in my ability to birth my baby. I am so glad you encouraged us to have Taj at home. It was such a wonderful experience. Thank you for saving our baby's life. He is such a wonderful baby.

Dear Coley,
As the clock shows the time I realize more and more that my pregnancy time is over.
And it makes me feel sad in many ways. 'Cause in about 15 min. I will have my last post-natal visit from you. I have enjoyed your company so much. And I am so grateful for you coming to my home every time because driving and even walking was getting more and more painful.I am so blessed that I had you as my midwife again.
You, my husband, John, and I make a great team! You made me feel so comfortable and understood. I am so grateful for you taking over my care even though I was already so far into the pregnancy. I feel a bit jealous of all those women that you are going to help deliver in the future. Because for me I think this was my last. After number 4, maybe I should retire, ha ha. But I think you're going to be growing and growing more in your profession and be an even more wonderful midwife. I wish you lots of luck and love.
And I wanted to let you know you have become a dear friend to the family. We love you!

When I first met you I was struck by your beautiful face. As I did my prenatals with you I was struck by your internal beauty.
I can honestly say that I hope you continue to follow your dreams because you are an excellent midwife. you are so kind and unassuming. You're a great listener and I always felt comfortable with you. You are very talented at what you do and have a wealth of knowledge for your age. Your love of babies and mothers is obvious and is very refreshing.
I am thankful for all you did during my pregnancy with Micah. I will always refer people to you.

I cannot thank you enough for all you did for us. We were so blessed to have you here. You have a gift! I am so happy and excited you have made the choice to become a midwife. You have such a kind and loving spirit. I'm so sorry if I ruined your trip to San Francisco. I hope everything turned out well and you had a great time (if I could have sped things up, I would have). Coley Douglass has always been extremely helpful and dependable as our midwife. She always reminded us that she's available on-call 24 hours a day, and sure enough, she answered her phone and offered to come over when our labor started at 4:00am on a Monday morning in November 2007. The labor and delivery of our baby girl was a huge success with the help and support of Coley. We would like to have Coley as our midwife again for our next baby.
